Summer Camp at the Heritage Farmstead Museum is an unforgettable opportunity for children to get outside, explore nature and connect with history. Campers will experience all the best of Heritage Farmstead Museum, exploring agricultural history, enjoying nature and creek life on our 4-acre historical site. Camp is designed to educate and inspire children, as well as build confidence, emphasize teamwork and maximize fun! Activities during the week-long camp include learning about farm animals and assisting with animal care chores such as feeding, brushing, and pen cleanup; exploring Pittman Creek for aquatic creatures and fossils; learning how chores were done in the past; playing outdoor games; exploring the historic farmstead and crafts.

Tailored for campers in grades 3-5, this engaging and hands-on camp will explore the intricate systems that keep us alive and thriving. Throughout the camp, Ninjas will explore essential programming concepts such as loops, functions, and video detection.

Beginning May 27 - July 17, 2025, Bishop Arts Theatre Center will offer an eight-week, exploratory program designed for youth ages 6 - 12. Students enrolled in our program are engaged in theatre, dance, visual arts, music, and life skill workshops led by master teaching artists. Young people who participate and attend these workshops have an opportunity to use artistic expression as a means to unlock the mysteries of various cultures, enlarge their view of the world, and build lasting communities.Our work aims to combat summer learning loss, and close the achievement gap between marginalized communities. With the decline in math and reading scores due to disruptions from the pandemic, our goal is to implement art in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), thereby creating STEAM opportunities for our campers.All programming will be focused on improving socialization skills and academics. STEAM education is vital in teaching youth how to integrate analytical thinking and creative thinking in learning. In addition to STEAM programming, all curricula include Social Emotional Learning (SEL) activities. SEL provides learning experiences that enable students to acquire skills in self-management, conflict resolution, perseverance, empathy, and teamwork. This camp offers an inspiring journey through the art of stop motion animation experimenting with Claymation, LEGO® Minifigures, paper cutouts, and more, while learning the intricate process of capturing images frame-by-frame.

Alcuin Summer programs will be held from June 2 - July 11 and are open to all students from ages 3-13 from inside and outside the Alcuin community. The program offers an exciting variety of weekly camps led by both Alcuin Faculty and the best educational vendors in the Metroplex.
