Scare in the Park in Cedar Hill

Chalk Art Contest in Flower Mound

Get your chalk ready for our fall chalk art contest! In honor of November Arts Month, Chalk the Walk will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 7 at Heritage Park. In order to maintain current social distancing practices, artists will create their original work of art on every other square on the sidewalk. Additionally, there will not be a community box of chalk for participants to use. Instead, the Town will provide prefilled bags of random colors. Masks and hand sanitizer will also be available, if needed.

Big Orange Pumpkin Farm

Virtual Event: The Flame: Scary Stories Edition

This Halloween, tune in for a night of Scary Stories from a variety of accomplished, local storytellers, hosted by award-winning actor and one of the creators of Mom's the Word, Deborah Williams. The Flame is a sold-out monthly storytelling event, celebrating its 12th season. Well known in the Vancouver storytelling community for being a sizzling storytelling series, The Flame features personal, true stories shared with a live audience. This past June, Deborah won the Gordon Armstrong Playwright’s Rent Award for co-founding and coordinating The Flame. Her work in this Vancouver storytelling series was cited for continuing to provide “a marvellous, joy-filled resource… [and] celebrates the essential power of the liveness of theatre.”
