Located in the North Texas Hill Country area, Charis Hills is a Christian Summer Camp that offers kids, ages 7 to 18, with learning differences and social difficulties—those with ADD, ADHD, high-functioning Autism, Asperger's disorder, and other special needs—an opportunity to come to a place of acceptance. We provide a positive camp experience while sharing the good news about Jesus Christ.
During the camp experience, we focus on learning about Christ, improving social skills, boosting self esteem and confidence, and helping kids understand that their differences are neither uncommon nor debilitating. We play with purpose: we give kids access to traditional camp activities, combine recreation with learning, and help kids find greater success and fun in daily life.

Alcuin Summer programs will be held from June 2 - July 11 and are open to all students from ages 3-13 from inside and outside the Alcuin community. Ages 12-18 ONLY - Students will spend 2 weeks M-F 9-5 learning about what it takes to make it in this business. Classes on singing, dancing, acting, improv, lighting, etc. Children will choose songs, monologues and scene work to do as well as work in an improv troupe. Professionals in the field will be guest speakers throughout the week, here to answer questions and offer advise from resumes to contracts to how to find a job.

Beginning May 27 - July 17, 2025, Bishop Arts Theatre Center will offer an eight-week, exploratory program designed for youth ages 6 - 12. Students enrolled in our program are engaged in theatre, dance, visual arts, music, and life skill workshops led by master teaching artists. Young people who participate and attend these workshops have an opportunity to use artistic expression as a means to unlock the mysteries of various cultures, enlarge their view of the world, and build lasting communities.Our work aims to combat summer learning loss, and close the achievement gap between marginalized communities. With the decline in math and reading scores due to disruptions from the pandemic, our goal is to implement art in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), thereby creating STEAM opportunities for our campers.All programming will be focused on improving socialization skills and academics. STEAM education is vital in teaching youth how to integrate analytical thinking and creative thinking in learning. In addition to STEAM programming, all curricula include Social Emotional Learning (SEL) activities. SEL provides learning experiences that enable students to acquire skills in self-management, conflict resolution, perseverance, empathy, and teamwork.
