Mrs. Willie B. Johnson and her family moved to the Hamilton Park community in 1956. Mrs. Johnson worked diligently to improve the sports and recreation programs for the youth in this community.! In 1983 this recreation center was constructed and named after a woman dedicated to her community. This facility is located in North Dallas just south of I635 and East of Central off Forest Lane.
