Historic East Dallas represents some of Dallas’ finest examples of preservation of early 20th century residential architecture. The Swiss Avenue Historic District boasts excellent examples of Prairie, Craftsman, Neoclassical, Italian Renaissance, Tudor, Jacobethan, Colonial, and Revival styles.
The District supports numerous educational and charitable institutions in East Dallas. Proceeds from the home tour are distributed to agencies such as Lipscomb Elementary, J.L. Long Middle School, Woodrow Wilson High School, Peak Preparatory School, Lakewood Library and many others.
