Ready Set Debate is part of the Speakers League company, offering speech and debate clubs and curricula. We began developing the Ready Set Debate materials in 2014, trying to find ways to make debate concepts simpler to understand, and more efficient to teach. Rather than focus on a single format of debate, we took the main concepts of a debate – case, cross-examination, rebuttal, and summary (found in every debate format), and distilled the teaching of these concepts into our own format, with smart and simple steps that can transfer to any debate format you encounter.
Whether a student of our program is in 5th grade or in a college program, our methods produce superior debating results.

Our in-person and online debate clubs, geared toward students aged 10-17, operate just like a high school or college debate team, with regular meetings and opportunities to compete in tournaments. Joining a club is a great opportunity for students to build their debate skills and learn about current issues, all while making new friends!
