The Historical Park is a museum nestled on 27 acres that trace more than 175 years of proud Farmers Branch history along with the history of Peters Colony, Texas, and the United States.
Welcoming approximately 100,000 visitors each year, the Historical Park offers many opportunities from tours and educational programs to special events. There are rental facilities available, and even a historic base ball team.
Historical Preservation
The concept of the Historical Park came about in 1981 with a movement to develop an outdoor museum. Its purpose is set to preserve and interpret the history of Texas and Peters Colony, with an emphasis on Farmers Branch.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Historical Park, as a living history museum, is to collect, preserve, interpret and celebrate the history of the United States and Texas with an emphasis on Peters Colony and Farmers Branch.
