Step back in time with Spring Break on the Farm at historic Nash Farm in Grapevine. From March 15-23, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., each day features a unique theme with hands-on activities, crafts and educational experiences that bring history to life. Admission is free and optional take-home activities are available for purchase.
Daily Themes & Activities:
Saturday, March 15 – Sheep and Fleece – Make your own toy sheep
Sunday, March 16 – Fun and Games – Play with tops and marbles
Monday, March 17 – Squeaky Clean – Try laundry and soap-making, create soap balls
Tuesday, March 18 – Cowpokes and Cowpeas – Design your own bandana and learn the proper way to tie it
Wednesday, March 19 – Waste Not, Want Not – Make a sachet and plant a black-eyed pea garden
Thursday, March 20 – Spring Has Sprung – Create prints using a hectograph and gelatin
Friday, March 21 – Corn and Chickens – Make chicken feed and toy chickens
Saturday, March 22 – Dairy Fun – Churn and taste fresh butter
Sunday, March 23 – Pic-Nic Fun – Enjoy games and a relaxing afternoon picnic
