Saturday Stories-"Sor Juana, The Girl Who Loved to Read"
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 03/29/2025
Experience the story of Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, who lived in the 17th century, a time when women were discouraged from reading and writing. Through perseverance, Sor Juana overcame many obstacles to become the most celebrated poet in Mexican history.
Our story is performed by Frida Lozano using imagination, puppets, movement, audience interaction and is open to all ages.
Saturday Stories is supported in part by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture as well as the Park Forest Library Friends.
