The March Mathness Challenge

March Mathness 2023 will take place during the entire month of March across fifteen walkSTEM / MathFinder sites in Dallas including places in South Dallas, Oak Cliff, Downtown Dallas, and more! These experiences are designed for all children in grades 4 and up, their families, and all educators.
This experience requires nothing more than a smartphone and a pair of comfortable walking shoes. Using the freely downloadable Otocast app, all participants can go on app-guided math walks, earn digital badges, and also be eligible to win raffle prizes that we will be giving out each week during the month of March! Each math or STEM walk is designed by math/STEM educational experts and invites children to see the rich connections between their environment and math.
The MathFinder initiative is a research-based, expert-created project led by SMU and talkSTEM in partnership with 9 Dallas-based informal learning sites including the Dallas Zoo, Dallas Arboretum, Dallas Museum of Art and more.
