Tommie M. Allen Recreation Center

In September of 1974 the Park Department acquired the land for Highland Hills Park and built the Highland Hills Recreation Center. Twenty years later the recreation center was named for Tommie M. Allen who was a member of the landmark commission and a driving force for getting the recreation center built.
