With the use of both clinically informed interventions and knowledge gained from direct practice, providing new parents a venue to talk about their thoughts, emotions and experiences creates opportunities to experience improved psychological wellness. This in turn benefits each family member, the community and society, and reduces symptomology of post partum mental health experiences.
