March 13 Afternoon Camp: Painting Cherry Blossoms

Tuesday is an acrylic on canvas painting. Looking at Van Gogh's Almond Blossom (1890), we will use masking technique, stenciling and layering thick application of paint with hog bristle brushes to create rich textures.

We will look carefully at how Van Gogh used color, texture, and value, then try our own ideas using some of his techniques mixed with our own budding artist ideas and styles!.

*Students enrolled in morning and afternoon camps are welcome to bring a lunch and camp all day, 9am-4pm. However, all day is not recommended for preK.
