Kids Fishing Derby

We’re REEL-Y excited to announce the first annual Kids Fishing Derby at The Sound! This event is for first-time and young anglers to try the sport of fishing. Please bring your own fishing gear and get ready for a fun morning of fishing lakeside at The Sound! Our professional Angler Educator will be on-hand to show you the tips and tricks to reeling in your first catch. Get a free sketch of you and your fish by our caricature artist.

Event Details:
- Participants must be 16 years and younger, no license required
- All fish are catch and release
- Bring your own fishing gear and bait (limited bait available onsite)
- Bring your own chairs
- Food/Drinks available for purchase at Lakeside restaurants
- No swimming allowed

Fishing Tips:
- Use a lightweight line (4 to 6 pounds test), small hooks and small sinkers
- Bait can include live worms, power bait, whole kernel corn, cheese, salmon eggs, marshmallows or small artificial lures
- Bring your camera to capture your big catch!

- Distance you and your family (groups of 6) six feet from other families while fishing along the banks of the lake
