Our mission at DeSoto Private School is to provide each child with a strong educational foundation enriched with the values of citizenship, discipline, respect, and love so that they may successfully fulfill their life-long learning goals with commitment, self confidence, and pride. DeSoto Private School & Day Care Center, Inc. is located at 301 E. Beltline Road in DeSoto, Texas, located 15 miles from downtown Dallas. DeSoto is a progressive community in Southwest Dallas with a small-town feeling, rich in diversity and cultural arts. DeSoto Private School is a private school offering classes for 3 Year Old Preschool, 4 Year Old Kindergarten, 5 Year Old Kindergarten, and 1st through 6th Elementary Grades. Students come from DeSoto and the neighboring cities of Lancaster, Cedar Hill, Ovilla, Red Oak, Waxahachie, Grand Prairie, Glenn Heights, Duncanville, and Dallas. DeSoto Private School opened its doors in August 1972. Through the years, additions were made to the building & playground, and the purchase of the shopping center next door led to new classrooms, a library, a fine arts room, a computer lab, and a living science lab. The school has evolved over the years to a SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) nationally accredited private school with an advanced and challenging curriculum serving children ages 3 through sixth grade.The goal at DeSoto Private School is to provide the finest educational program possible for preschool and elementary age children and to generate a true excitement for learning. DeSoto Private School has established itself as a strong academic school with a dedicated staff and a devoted network of parents and alumni. It also provides extended day care hours before and after school.
