Christmas Parade of Lights & Tree Lighting Ceremony

Every December, the Town of Flower Mound rings in the holidays with the annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony! This year the Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony is Presented by CoServ, and will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

The Town of Flower Mound invites your group to participate in the 2025 Christmas Parade of Lights. Applications are now being accepted for parade entries and can be found here. This year's theme is Characters of Christmas. 

Non-cash awards will be given to the top entry and runner-up in each category. While there is no entry fee, we request that each participant bring at least one canned food item to benefit the Christian Community Action Canned Food Drive.

Applications can be emailed to specialevents@flowermound.gov. Deadline for all entries is 5 p.m. Friday, November 21.

Reindeer Run 5K & Grinch Sprint

The day will kick off with the annual Reindeer Run 5K and Grinch Sprint hosted by the Rotary Club of Flower Mound, in partnership with the Town of Flower Mound. 

The event will take place at Bakersfield Park located at 1201 Duncan Lane. All participants will receive a medal and a T-shirt while supplies last. Participants are encouraged to come in holiday attire and can enjoy coffee, hot chocolate, pancakes, and cookies after the run while supplies last. Santa Claus and the Grinch will be on hand for photos. Awards will be given out in each age group and to the top three male and female finishers overall.

*Fees increase after October 31. Please check the event registration site for current fee. 

100 percent of the proceeds from the event supports the Rotary Club's local and international charity work. For more information and to register online, visit www.reindeerrun5k.com.

Canned Food Drive

During the holiday season, the Flower Mound Community Activity Center will be accepting canned good donations and non-perishable food items to benefit Christian Community Action. Please consider bringing items to the CAC to donate!
