Serving more than 60,000 young people in 2015, The First Tee of Greater Dallas operates in-school, after-school, weekend, and summer programs for youth of all socio-economic backgrounds.

The organization's golf and life skills programming takes place daily at seven dedicated partner golf facilities in addition to numerous schools and community centers across Greater Dallas.

35 Lead Coaches direct the daily delivery of programming while more than 100 Volunteer Coaches assist with tasks ranging from registration to coaching to special events.

The ultimate vision of The First Tee of Greater Dallas is to provide young people of all backgrounds, an opportunity to develop, through golf and character-education, a core set of life-enhancing values such as honesty, integrity, respect, and perseverance.

Golf is unique from other sports because players learn values like honesty and responsibility by calling penalties on themselves and reporting their own score. The sport is a perfect platform for helping young people develop character because just like in life, players experience the highs and lows of the game.
